Diana Bollweg is a qualified and registered Physiotherapist with more than nine years of experience working in the field of Pet Physiotherapy. Physio 4 Paws provides Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Shockwave Therapy and Rehabilitation for dogs and cats on referral from veterinarians. This would typically be after surgery, injury or illness.
Health and Fitness for our canine companions are also of concern: Treatment and prevention of sports injuries with physiotherapy and exercise for active sporting canines as well as keeping an aged pet active, controlling weight and helping to reduce joint and muscle pain. Physio 4 Paws’ animal physiotherapy treatment includes massage therapy, exercise therapy, Hydrotherapy and advanced electrotherapies such as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy and Ultrasound Therapy.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy can help animals recover from a variety of conditions such as back pain, sprains, strains, fractures and sporting injuries. Physio 4 Paws provide a wide range of treatments including massage therapy, electrotherapies and exercise therapy.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy, or ESWT, uses high-intensity sound waves to target treatment areas of an animal’s body. The shockwaves trigger the body’s repair mechanisms, enabling healing and long-term improvement of a variety of conditions.
Hydrotherapy
Physio 4 Paws make use of an underwater treadmill as well as a heated outdoor pool for hydrotherapy. Hydrotherapy is especially effective in treating hip dysplasia and after cruciate ligament surgery.
Rehabilitation
Pet rehabilitation therapy involves creating and implementing therapy plans to increase an animal’s mobility and reduce any pain they may be experiencing as a result of an injury or a chronic condition.
